Federation - Exe Valley Challenge

Three teams of children from across the Jubilee Federation entered the Exe Valley Challenge run by Isca College in Exeter, on Sunday 28th June. The four Year 6s walked 10 miles and the two Year 4 and 5 teams walked seven miles. The course began and ended at Isca college and involved walking along the river to the quay in Exeter and out to Countess Wear. Along the way, the teams had to stop at checkpoints at precise times (not too early and not too late) and find the answers to a series of questions. (Miss Moss took a bicycle to cycle round and meet the teams at different points along the route).

The first two teams began walking in the rain but the weather soon cleared and by the time the teams arrived back at Isca the sun was shining. When they arrived, each child was presented with a medal to celebrate their achievement in completing the course. It was a wonderful event and we were very proud of the behaviour and positive attitude of all the children who took part.
